    The City of Kentwood Police Department is seeking applicants for full-time Police Officer positions.  We are looking for ambitious men and women with high moral integrity and a strong work ethic.  Qualified applicants will be at least 18 years of age and meet all of the following requirements:

    • Successful completion of two years of college level coursework;
    • MCOLES certifiable by December 1, 2017;
    • Must be a United States citizen at the time of testing for the position;
    • Must not have any felony convictions; and
    • Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license prior to hire date,

  • Day Camp Counselor

    Implement fun and safe program activities for participants who have completed Kindergarten through sixth grade.  Responsibilities include direct supervision of Summer Day Camp program participants, projects, trips, and special events.
    Must be at least 18 years of age.
    High School Diploma/GED preferred.
    Valid Michigan Driver License.
    Ability to work the scheduled weeks of camp.
    Must have experience leading children in a recreation and/or educational setting.
    Must demonstrate effective planning skills in developing and implementing all Summer Day Camp activities.
    Current CPR and First Aid certification.
    Ability to work effectively with the public and other employees.

    The summer Day Camp program will run for nine weeks. This is a temporary position, with a pay rate of $10/hr. The work schedule is 30-40 hours per week Monday – Friday.

  • Recreation Leader

    The City of Kentwood's Parks and Recreation Department is hiring Recreation Leaders to provide recreational opportunities for youth during the summer in Kentwood parks.  Staff members will lead children in games, sports, crafts and recreational activities.  This is a seasonal summer position with part-time hours.  The pay rate is $10.00 per hour.
    Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, have a valid MI driver’s license, and have experience working with children.
