Present: Commissioners: Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Brown, Betsy Artz, Robert Coughlin, Jerry DeMaagd, Erwin Haas, Steve Redmond and Mayor Stephen Kepley. Also present: City Engineer Tim Bradshaw, Finance Director Tom Chase, Police Chief Tom Hillen, City Clerk Dan Kasunic, Fire Chief Brent Looman, Assistant Finance Director Lorna Nenciarini, Deputy Administrator Mark Rambo, Fire Department Administrative Assistant Nancy Shane, and Community Development Director Terry Schweitzer. Present: Wing Avenue Project Manager from Fleis and Vandenbrink and representatives from Sabo Communications, Mary Ann Sabo and Holly Wolniakowski.
- WING AVENUE CORRIDOR PROPOSED TIMELINE DISCUSSION.
City Engineer Bradshaw reviewed the actions the City has taken, noting the public comments and concerns that were considered and informed the Committee of the open house that will be held with four different stations that address concerns and questions to provide a more one on one interaction with the residents. City Engineer Bradshaw provided a timeline of the steps in this project as they move forward on Wing Avenue Project.
POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS:
Police Chief Hillen reviewed the Police Monthly Statistics for October 2016.
Chief Hillen mentioned the P.R.I.C.E. program will begin soon for the holiday season. Introduced Sergeant O’Connell who will be the school Liaison and Crime Analyst Kari Oliver.
Motion by Artz, seconded by Haas, to receive and file the Police Department Monthly Statistical Report for October 2016.
Fire Chief Looman reviewed the Fire Department Monthly Activity Report for October 2016.
Chief Looman informed the Committee of planning phase that is in progress for a new Fire Engine purchase.
Motion by Redmond, seconded by Artz, to receive and file the Fire Department Monthly Activity Report for October 2016.
Finance Director Chase reviewed the budgeting timeline for the Committee, and answered question regarding PPT reimbursements from the State for this fiscal year.
Mayor Kepley informed the Committee of the GVMC group that the City participates in for stormwater permitting issues, which serves to reduce common costs; however, does have an annual fee to be part of the group.
