Present: Commissioners: Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Brown, Betsy Artz, Jerry DeMaagd, Erwin Haas, Steve Redmond and Mayor Stephen Kepley. Also present: Finance Director Tom Chase, Public Works Director John Gorney, City Clerk Dan Kasunic, Fire Chief Brent Looman, Assistant Finance Director Lorna Nenciarini, Deputy Administrator Mark Rambo, Parks & Recreation Director Val Romeo, Fire Department Administrative Assistant Nancy Shane, and Deputy Police Chief Don Tuuri. Also: ARCH Coordinator Keith Brown, Challenger Principal Teressa Gatza and Kentwood Public Schools Superintendent Michael Zoerhoff.
 
 
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT:
 
  1. ARCH PROGRAM AND GRANT OVERVIEW.
Parks and recreation Director/ARCH Co-Project Director Romeo and Local Evaluator Maria Gajewski provided an overview of the ARCH program and quantitative results. Two students provided a firsthand account of what the ARCH Program means to them. Challenger Principal Gatza and Kentwood Schools Superintendent Zoerhoff both spoke of the benefits in having this program.
 
  1. ARCH TOUR.
Challenger ARCH Coordinator Keith Brown gave a tour of the facility, providing a commentary of activities being accomplished.
